BSc Human Nutrition Sciences
As a kid, my love for sports started simply because it was a fun way to hang out with my friends. As I got older, I began to appreciate the competitive aspect of sports and the feeling that comes with being part of a team. Over time, this passion for athletics sparked a desire to learn more about how I could improve my performance, which led me to explore the role of nutrition in supporting my athletic goals.
Growing up, I was fortunate to have a Mom and two Grandmothers who taught me the basics of cooking. Cooking at home and eating around the table with others was important. These experiences helped me develop an appreciation for food—not just as simply food, but as a way to connect with others.
This helped me as I became more interested in the relationship between nutrition and athletics, as cooking for myself became a fulfilling way to apply what I was learning. This made it easier for me to make better food choices and to fuel my body for both performance and overall well-being.
Driven by this growing interest in the connection between nutrition, health, and athletic performance, I pursued a degree in nutrition to continue my understanding. Along the way, my passion for helping others led me to become a strength and conditioning coach, where I could support people in reaching their health and fitness goals through both training and nutrition.
Today, I’m a nutrition consultant, and a strength and conditioning coach, passionate about helping others optimize their health and performance while also enjoying the pleasures of good food shared with good people.
