Andrew Neufeld

I started training combat sports with Rise and Coach Marcos, I competed as early and as often as I could, and pursued becoming a referee to help me be a bigger part of the sport. Jiu Jitsu gave me confidence, dicipline and a fascination that has stuck with me ever since I started. I met many people who I would consider family over the years and I'm proud to be a part of the community that has been built at Rise.

I knew I wanted to be a part of sharing that passion with others, and I saw that opportunity in the kids program. If you asked me at the start why I did it, it was so I could beat up my friends or brother, or learning self defense, but it became much more than that very quickly. Apart from the mats, I love studying the Bible, spending time with my wife and playing video games.
